Your Mission

As a technical intelligence analyst, you belong to the signals intelligence department. The department works to gather, process, and analyze material in order to report intelligence to our clients. As a technical analyst, you will combine your technical knowledge with your global interest.

In the role of technical intelligence analyst, your main tasks will be to process and analyze large amounts of information, primarily in the form of:

• Development of new methods for gathering and analysis,
• Streamlining methodology and tools.
• Technical system analysis focusing on signal, network, and protocol analysis
• Acting as a linking function between different specialist roles, internally and externally

The work is greatly influenced by rapid technological development, and therefore requires you to stay updated and adapt your work methods accordingly.

Domestic and international travel may occur in the position. At FRA, we have strong confidentiality, and it is important that you feel comfortable with that.

You Can

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree or equivalent knowledge acquired through work, in IT or related fields.
• Good knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, C, or C++
• Experience in processing and analyzing relevant information in large datasets
• Writes, understands, and communicates fluently in Swedish and English

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge of and experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Education in technology, statistics, mathematics, or IT forensics
• Worked in an operational environment
• Worked in a security/intelligence operation
• Work experience in handling and finding relevant information in large amounts of data
• Experience with Postgres, ElasticSearch, Wireshark/Tshark
• Linux, virtualization, and Docker
• Knowledge of how APIs are built and used
• Experience in application development and/or system development
• Knowledge in Networking/IP/Telecom
• Experience in graph-theoretical analysis of datasets
• Experience in information management and information models
• Language skills in Arabic

More Information

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will be security vetted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
